A workshop on "The Meaning and Function of Fiqh in the Modern Age - Fiqh and Society -" was held in cooperation with our faculty and the Islamic Sciences Research Foundation (İSAV). In the workshop, which was mainly held face-to-face in our faculty, online participation was also provided for the academicians who preferred it.
Speaking at the opening of the workshop, our Dean Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bostancı stated that this third of the workshops on Fiqh and Society, which were organized in series with the title "The Meaning and Function of Fiqh in the Modern Age", was held with a hybrid method, and that a different aspect from the previous ones was to hold online meetings, each of which can be considered a small workshop, with many experts from the fields of fiqh and sociology. He further stated that the subject and scope are determined due to these. He said they are honoured to host this important meeting in the faculty, which has successfully carried out many scientific activities and to host valuable professors. Each of them is an expert in their field.
